this is the first part in a series of two: a project that has been waiting for a while but now finally sees daylight. side a: “spring” is a peaceful, serene and yet driving track. this 10 minute transition from winter into summer tells the story of the hemisphere beginning to warm significantly as the earth’s obliquity is toward the sun – resulting in a time of growth, renewal and of new life being born. the cycle of life beginning again as warm air begins to invade our side of the planet. side b: shinedoe remixes “spring” into a severe storm! this alternate version shows this season from its other side. dark clouds are gathering over detroit and warm air spreads from lower latitudes while this bass driven track is pushing you on the dance floor or out in the rain to dance. side c: “summer” is a 17.30 minute track and was recorded in one take. this hypnotizing breeze into fruition, fulfillment, happiness and beauty is a never ending reflection of the season with the longest and warmest days of the year. the season of the midnight sun when twilight is known to last at least an hour or, in this case, just over a quarter of an hour! side d: upcoming talent quince is the second dutch artist to do a remix. quince shows us what to do when the red burning sun dives into the sea and darkness fills the land. this pumping, string driven mix will make you dance till dawn!
